Jay + Carleigh // Shooting weddings are fun, but whenever you’re friends with the couple (and roommates with one of them, #MagnoliaHouseOfMarriages), it makes things so much sweeter and meaningful. I had the great pleasure of living with Carleigh this past year in a house our roommates and I dubbed, “the Magnolia House,” and during this year, we went through the craziness/awesomeness of 4 out of the 6 of us getting engaged…Carleigh and I included!
It was so amazing seeing Carleigh and Jay’s planning come into fruition on their wedding day. They were married on May 28, 2016 at the Milestone Barn in Aubrey, with a beautiful ceremony underneath an oak tree (Okay..maybe it wasn’t an oak tree, I’m not a Boy Scout…). The party then continued inside the red barn, and looked absolutely AMAZING thanks to Carleigh and Jay’s wedding party and parents–they decorated everything! The barn had so many DIY and heartfelt details, including framed pictures of the couple on every table, and hand-made signs by the bride and one of her maids of honor. The bride, groom, and guests danced the night away and made their grand exit through a tunnel of sparklers surrounded by all of their closest friends!
Today marks one month of marriage for these two, but the best is yet to come–God has great things in store for the Scotts! I can’t wait to see how God uses their marriage to grow the Kingdom, and I’m so glad I get to have a front row seat to it all!
I could share a zillion pictures of their wedding day, but for now, here are just a few of my favorites!
