FAQs

1. When did you start pursuing photography?

-I’ve grown up always having a camera in my hand (they were only point and shoot cameras, but cameras nonetheless!).  My family owns a church so at about age 8, I started attending the annual Valentine’s Day banquet and would go around to all of the tables and ask each couple if they’d like their picture taken.  Of course I had ZERO idea what I was doing, but they took a chance and purchased my $1 Walgreens print offer in order to document the night with their date.  My entrepreneurial spirit was born at this age.  I started shooting as a career two and a half years ago whenever I decided that I wanted to pursue this hobby full time.

2.  What areas of photography do you focus in?

-My main focus is weddings and engagement sessions, however, I also shoot portrait sessions (families and seniors).

3.  What gear do you shoot with?

-I shoot with a full-frame Canon body and a variety of Canon and Sigma lenses, however, my favorite lens is my Canon 50 mm 1.2 L!

4.  What do I have to do to book a session with you?

-In order to book a session, I ask that you first submit a Contact form through the Contact tab on my site’s menu bar.  From here, I can send you all of the necessary information you’ll need!  If you decide to move forward, a signed contract and a 50% non-refundable retainer fee is due in order to be considered “booked.”

5.  How far in advance should I book my session?

-I currently book portrait sessions about a month to two months in advance.  I book wedding days anywhere from 6 months to a year and a half in advance.  I am currently booking wedding dates through May 2018.

6.  Will you help us with posing and clothing ideas?

-Most definitely!  I try to take a more natural approach to posing and only ever do about 4 core poses.  From these base poses, I’m able to get natural and raw emotions and action.  I feel that this style of posing helps portray my clients in their best and true state.  I’ll also send a detailed clothing style guide prior to the session in order to help ease the process of outfit selection!
